Delia Oseguera | President

PTA President and also Parent Coordinator for sixth grade.  I also help out the teachers in the morning and some afternoons trying to get the kids to and from school safely. I’m hoping to bring even more parent involvement into the school.  Our goal is for the children to have pride in the school and be excited to come and learn and have fun!

Presidente de la PTA y también Coordinador de padres para sexto grado.  También ayudo a los maestros por la mañana y algunas tardes tratando que los niños llegan y irse de la escuela de manera segura. Espero traer más participación de los padres a la escuela.  ¡Nuestro objetivo es que los niños se sientan orgullosos de la escuela y emocionados de venir a aprender y divertirse!

Daniel Ruelas | Vice-President

This is now my third year as a parent at Adelante. My daughter is part of first grade and my son started TK.  San Jose has been my home for most of my life. Having graduated from Independence HS, received an AA from Evergreen College, and a Bachelor's from SJSU.

Most of my professional career has been at NASA, where I spent 12 year. In May of 2023 I joined SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (also known as the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) where I currently work as a Network engineer.

Este es ahora mi tercer año como padre en Adelante. Mi hija es parte de primer grado y mi hijo inició TK. San José ha sido mi hogar durante la mayor parte de mi vida. Me gradué de Independence HS, obtuve un AA de Evergreen College y una licenciatura de SJSU.

La mayor parte de mi carrera profesional ha sido en NASA, donde pasé 12 años. En mayo de 2023 me uní al Laboratorio Nacional de Aceleradores SLAC (también conocido como el Centro de Aceleradores Lineales de Stanford), donde actualmente trabajo como ingeniero en redes de comunicación.

Linneth De La Rocha | Treasurer

I am a mom of two at Adelante (3rd and 4th grade) and a wedding and portrait photographer. I also own a tattoo shop with my husband and handle all the business side of things of the shop. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended a dual language immersion elementary school myself. I enjoy dedicating my time to the Adelante community and volunteering in the classrooms.

Soy madre de dos hijos en Adelante (3 y 4 grado) y fotógrafa de bodas y retratos. También tengo una tienda de tatuajes con mi esposo y manejo todo el lado comercial de las cosas de la tienda. Nací y crecí en el Área de la Bahía y asistí a una escuela primaria de inmersión en dos idiomas. Me gusta dedicar mi tiempo a la comunidad de Adelante y ser voluntario en las aulas.

Erica Marquez | Financial Reviewer

I’m a proud mother of three and have been part of the Adelante community for the past seven years. I previously served as President of the ELAC Committee (English Learner Advisory Committee) for two consecutive years.  I grew up on the east side, so I understand firsthand the importance of dual immersion education. It has been a pleasure to volunteer my time in support of our community “unidos hacemos la fuerza.”

Professionally, I work as a Financial Controller for a landscape design and general contracting company and a Public Notary. While I have a deep passion for numbers, I’m equally committed to staying actively involved in my children’s education. Being present in their academic journey fills my heart and brings me great joy.

Soy una orgullosa madre de tres hijos y he sido parte de la comunidad de Adelante durante los últimos siete años.  Crecí en el lado este de San José, por lo que entiendo de primera mano la importancia de la educación en inmersión dual.  Ha sido un placer ofrecer mi tiempo como voluntaria para apoyar a nuestra comunidad “unidos hacemos la fuerza.”

Profesionalmente, trabajo como Contralora Financiera en una empresa de diseño de paisajes y contratista general y tambien soy Notario Publico. Aunque tengo una gran pasión por los números, también estoy profundamente comprometida con mantenerme activamente involucrada en la educación de mis hijos. Estar presente en su camino académico llena mi corazón y me trae una enorme alegría.

Maria Hernandez | Financial Reviewer

My name is Maria Hernandez PTA Financial reviewer and also Parent coordinator for Kindergarten class.  I am a proud mom of five beautiful children of which three attend Adelante (Ezekiel TK, Ariana 1st and Eddie 2nd grade) and one in the preschool. I’m a new mom to the school system and have committed myself to be involved as much as I can by helping this amazing Adelante community achieve their goals for the benefit of our children.

Mi nombre es María Hernández Revisor financiero de la PTA y también coordinadora de padres para la clase de Kindergarten.  Soy una orgullosa madre de cinco hermosos hijos de los cuales tres van a Adelante (Ezekiel, TK, Ariana 1  y Eddie 2 grado) y uno en el preescolar. Soy una nueva mamá en el sistema escolar y me he comprometido a involucrarme tanto como pueda ayudando a esta increíble comunidad de Adelante a alcanzar sus metas en beneficio de nuestros hijos.

Enrique Yang | Secretary

I was born in China, grew up in Ecuador, and moved to California in 2001.  I am a Civil Engineer and my wife, Angel, is an ICU Nurse.  We have a son in 4th grade and a daughter in 1st grade at Adelante.   My wife volunteers in our kids’ classrooms whenever she can and as much as she can.  This is my first year in the PTA Board and I’m looking forward to help our school community.

Nací en China, crecí en Ecuador, y emigré a California en el 2001.  Soy un Ingeniero Civil y mi esposa, Angel, es una Enfermera de cuidados intensivos.  Tenemos un hijo en el 4to grado y una hija en el 1er grado aquí en Adelante.  Mi esposa colabora como voluntaria en las aulas de nuestros hijos siempre y cuando puede.  Este es mi primer año como parte del Panel Ejecutivo del PTA y listo para ayudar a nuestra comunidad escolar.
